What does a Nutrition Coach do and how can it help me?
Have you tried to lose weight? Are your numbers going in the wrong direction? Do you feel sluggish, no energy, poor sleep and generally unhealthy? Have you been told to eat better but haven't been told how?
Doctors are great at saying, "You should lose weight", but seldom are you given advise on how to start. I've been there. Trying crazy fad diets and exercising constantly will not work! You need to know how many calories your body uses per day. I can calculate how many calories and how much activity you need each day to lose the weight you want to lose and in the time frame you want to lose it in.
Do I get a special diet? No. Instead, I give you all the information you need to make healthier choices. We work together to come up with a plan that works for you. You will not be stuck with a rigid diet plan that doesn't allow for favorite foods. You will learn how to choose food that you like and work with serving sizes to figure out the best practice for you. Eating healthy doesn't mean starving yourself or only eating salads. If you feel you need a customized diet for what ever reason, seek out a licensed dietician in your state.
